How Do You Measure Patience? - Part 1

She is crying again. Actually this time around it seems like she is wailing. Her agony can be felt in the way the walls are shaking. I'm sure she knows the neighbours can hear her. At least I can hear her pretty well. It's a thin wall between our apartments. I'm guessing this time around, she does not care. She must really want to get his attention. She always wants his attention.

"Has he heard her yet?", I wonder. "I hope he answers her this time." The last time she cried, she told me he held her and told her things were about to change. He asked her to give him more time. "I promise it will be okay, just give me some time", he promised. But there she is, crying again. In all fairness, I think she has been patient enough but then again how do you measure patience?

Ever so often when we cross paths in the elevator or underground car park, she uses every opportunity to sing his praises to the roof. She constantly brags about how lovely he is and how he is planning this big surprise gift for her. So what now? Why is she crying so loud if he is all that?

Sigh. Women and the men they love. Shaking my head

I lock my door, switch off my bedroom lamp and lie down. Tomorrow, I'll ask her if he came through like he promised or maybe I won't ask. Maybe she'll tell me? I guess we'll have to wait till tomorrow to find out.
